Development of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Argentina
Zhu Kexin (WFAS， Argentine Civil Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Science Association)
［Abstract］In 1948, acupuncture was first introduced to Argentina, though it owes its recent unprecedented popularity to acupuncture practitioners originated from the Chinese region. At the moment, Argentine medical institutions of this science do not simply reject non-western medical study and practice of acupuncture and moxibustion, and work on its adoption and conversion to a branch of modern medicine. These actions had led to the reaction of numerous Chinese Medicine Associations to fight for recognition of the legality of their practice, as well as to emphasize on Chinese acupuncture and moxibustions equality with western medicine in Argentina.
