Abstract: The theory of transnationalism and its development in past twenty yearsbrings great contributions to the studies of the immigration, transnation and transculture.The paper first presents the origin of transnationalism and its definition; then, based on thereview of literature relevant, illustrates three core concepts of transnationalism:transnational practices, transnational social space, and transnational identity; finally,discovers the contributions of transnationalism which mean the innovational influence of itslogic, perspectives, structure, and method on the academia.

On the Practice of the Ethnic Legislation in the Shensi-Kansu-Ningxia Border

Abstract: The paper firstly studies the relative theories and policies in the practice of theethnic legislation in the Shensi-Kansu-Ningxia Border Region; then investigates theinstitutionalization and legalhation of the Chinese Communist Party’s ethnic policy at that timethrough displaying the course and contents of the legislation; on the basis of the researches above,summaries the characteristics, experience, and deficiency of the ethruc legislation, also recogruzes itssigruficance in history. The practice of the ethnic legislation in the Shensi-Kansu-Ningxia BorderRegion was not only a great exploration in the course of the Chinese National Democratic Revolutionwhich aimed to realize the equality and solidarity of the ethnic relationship, to solve the ethnicissues, and to construct system and law relevant, but also an important part of the democracyconstruction of the Border Region Government which provides the new China with the most basicexperience in the construction of the ethnic legal system.
