Observation on Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture Plus Auricular Point Sticking on Functional Dyspepsia

［Abstract］Purpose To approach to therapeutic effect and mechanisms of acupuncture plus auricular point sticking for treatment of functional dyspepsia (FD). Methods 90 cases of FD were randomly divided into acupuncture plus auricular point sticking group (60 cases) and Cisapride group (30 cases), and blood motilin (MTL) contents, electrogastrogram (EGG) and therapeutic effects were observed before and after treatment. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups in blood MTL content and EGG after treatment, but the treatment group in clinical therapeutic effect, decrease of cumulative score of symptoms and improvement of symptoms was better than the control group. Conclusion Acupuncture plus auricular point sticking has bidirectional and benign regulative action and it is a better therapy for FD.
