Convergence of High Added-Value Strategy of Large-Scale Steelmakers

  It has been an obvious phenomenon among representativesteel and iron enterprises in various countries or regions.Convergence displays in the forms of competitive strategyand product strategy.By theory,owing to the conflict be-tween cost strategy and product difference strategy,it is probablyimpossible to construct such strategies at the same time.Eventhrough large-scale steel and iron enterprises still carry out thesetwo strategies in a parallel way.Especially,each steel and ironenterprise is expanding the manufacture of high added-valueproducts such as motor vehicle plates,electrical steel,and stain-less steel etc.and trying to establish homogenization of strategicproducts,which has become the factor contributing to the mo-nopolization and competitive intensification of the overall marketstructure.
