Seamless mosaicking for remote sensing images based on grey relational analysis

Abstract:This paper put forward a novel method using grey relational analysis for seamless mosaicking remote sensing images. First, the method regarded pixel neighboring sequence in overlapping area as referential sequence and compared sequence because of the relation of center point and neighboring points, then computed grey relational degree of referential sequence and compared sequence using slope relational degree, finally detected an optimal seam line which was less differences in color and texture between the images, and made gray-level smooth with the help of weighting on both sides of the seam line in order to eliminate the mosaicking seam caused by tone difference between the adjacent images to be mosaicked . The experimental result indicates that the new method is very effective, simple, easy to realize and can gain more satisfying mosaicking images.......
